i am so excited….we finally planned our much-needed vacation this year and our destination is…HAWAII! we plan to go to maui and spend most of our time there. we want to experience both the western ‘desert’ side in wailea and eastern ‘tropical’ side of the island in hana. my parents often tell me about how they visited maui when my mom was pregnant with me and now i will be returning again. it is hard for me not to plan a lot of things to do and see, but i know we both need time to recharge; so i will do my best not to type out an itinerary….
do you have any hawaii recommendations? i would love to hear what islands you recommend, where you stayed, beaches to visit, or any other tips you might have!

We LOVE Hawaii! We are traveling back to Hawaii for our sixth time this January 🙂 and we are headed to Maui as well!!! Kauai is our favorite island and Maui is a CLOSE second.
Glad you are going to check out Hana, it’s awesome. Napili Beach on the west side is great (our favorite beach on Maui) and don’t forget to check out Big Beach on the south end. Ka’anapali Beach is another great beach and there are many restaurants close by. I have a lot of info about Hawaii on my blog–if you get a chance you, feel free to stop by and see if any of our adventures peak your interest! 🙂
Aloha!

Thanks! 🙂 I’m glad you find it useful!! Also check out Leilani’s on the Beach for lunch or dinner (it’s in Whaler’s Village, adjacent to Ka’anapali Beach), and make sure to leave room for the amazing Hula Pie. 🙂 Have so much fun! Can’t wait to read about your trip!!

oh my gosh how amazing! hawaii is one of my favorite places on earth. we stayed on kauai for 10 days and absolutely fell in love. the hotel we stayed at was the grand hyatt which was just fabulous. i haven’t been to maui {yet!} but i’ve only heard the BEST things. can’t wait to hear all about your adventure!
